EAM Jaishankar to visit Netherlands, Denmark, Germany after India’s Operation Sindoor in Pakistan - The Ministry of External Affairs announced that External Affairs Minister Jaishankar will be visiting the Netherlands, Denmark, and Germany from May 19th to 24th. During his visit, the Minister will engage with leaders from all three countries to discuss the full spectrum of bilateral relations. In addition to these talks, global and regional issues of mutual interest will also be on the agenda. This visit to Germany coincides with Friedrich Merz's recent appointment as the new Federal Chancellor, who took office earlier this month. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had already extended his congratulations to Chancellor Merz and expressed a strong commitment to enhancing the India-Germany Strategic Partnership. Following the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, the governments of the Netherlands, Denmark, and Germany stood in solidarity with India. Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen condemned the attack, offered support, and extended condolences to the victims and their families. Former German Chancellor Olaf Scholz also condemned the tragedy, expressing sympathy for the victims and wishing a swift recovery for the injured. Meanwhile, Dutch President Dick Schoof reaffirmed the Netherlands' unwavering support in India's fight against terrorism, both now and in the future.
