RG Kar row: CM Suvendu Adhikari says fresh CBI probe underway under court supervision - On the RG Kar rape and murder case, CM Suvendu Adhikari said justice must be served and that the CBI is conducting a fresh court-monitored investigation based on documentary evidence. He stated that the state government has taken administrative action, including suspending IPS officers, cancelling doctors’ licenses, and granting NOCs for corruption-related charge sheets. He added that the health department will act against the alleged racket linked to the incident, while police have been directed to investigate matters outside the CBI’s scope, including the cremation-related scam and individuals seen in CCTV footage.
