Breaking: Trump announces ‘10-Day Ceasefire’ b/w Israel-Lebanon, invites PM Netanyahu to White House - In a breaking development, Donald Trump announced 10-Day ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon, on April 16. Trump lauded Israeli PM Netanyahu, Lebanese President Joseph Aoun for their peace effort amid escalation at the border. “The leaders two will formally begin a 10 Day CEASEFIRE at 5 P.M. EST…” Trump posted on his Truth Social. President Trump again boasted about the ‘9 war he stopped across the World’ and claimed this to be his 10th. He also invited the two leaders to Washington for talks, “for the first time in 34 years” to build upon the development. “Both sides want to see PEACE, and I believe that will happen, quickly…” Trump said in another Truth Social post. Israel started its military operation in South Lebanon against Iran’s proxy, Hezbollah as a part of wider Middle East conflict. Israeli military operation in Lebanon intensified after US-Iran agreed to 2-week ceasefire in Islamabad talks.
