“Phase one, Humanitarian calamity…” US Secy of States Marco Rubio sets priority in Sudan conflict - US Secretary of State Marco Rubio on Friday (December 19) said that Washington's immediate goal on Sudan is a cessation of hostilities going into the new year that allows humanitarian organizations to be able to deliver assistance. Rubio, speaking to reporters at a press conference, said that countries are providing weaponry and equipment to the parties, including trans-shipment of weapons particularly to the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces.
