“Tariff wars produce no winners…” China slams Trump’s trade tactics, advises dialogue to Washington - China once again has strongly ridiculed Donald Trump’s ‘tariff tactics’, amid growing economic instability. In his latest remarks, China’s Foreign Ministry Spox Lin Jian said that trade wars and tariff wars produce no winners. He further stated that Donald Trump’s approach to key economic issues do not “serve the interests of any party”. The U.S. president has targeted China with a cascade of tariff orders on billions of dollars’ worth of imported goods. Earlier today Donald Trump had hit out at China stating that China likes to take advantage of people. Trump's remarks came at a time of growing trade tensions between Washington and Beijing. China had earlier announced that new special port fees would take effect for US ships arriving in Chinese ports, according to state media reports.
