Netanyahu addresses Shin Bet, vows to prioritize hostages after eliminating existential threats - Israel's Netanyahu spoke to members of the Israeli domestic intelligence service, known as 'Shin Bet', on Sunday (June 29). Netanyahu was speaking alongside a new temporary replacement of former head of the service, Ronen Bar who had announced he would be stepping down on June 15, after Netanyahu's government tried to oust him. "We have removed an immediate threat to our existence—two deadly threats to our survival." said Netanyahu and added that now Israel must first focus on bringing back the hostages.
