They chanted slogans in support of plaintiffs on the first day of the trial over sexual assault allegations against French actor Gerard Depardieu. Demonstrators raised placards and shouted, “We believe you,” in support of the plaintiffs, identified as Amelie K and Sarah. French actor Depardieu went on trial on Monday over alleged sexual assaults on a film set. The prosecutors accuse Depardieu of groping one of the women, Amelie K, on the film set.
