Make America Go Away: Denmark protest against Trump administration follow Vance’s visit to Greenland - Hundreds of people took part in a pro-Greenland demonstration near the United States embassy in Copenhagen on March 29, just a day after United States’ Vice President JD Vance and his wife Usha Vance’s travelled to the U.S. military base at Pituffik in the north of the Arctic island. People in the protest were chanting “Greenland is not for sale” and holding signs reading “Greenland rejected Trump – Your turn America” and “Make America go Away”. The protest follows a trip to Greenland by U.S. Vice President JD Vance on March 28, during which he accused Denmark of not doing a good job keeping Greenland safe and suggested the United States would better protect the semi-autonomous Danish territory that President Donald Trump has pressed to take over. Many Greenlanders expressed deep unease about the visit and polls have shown that nearly all Greenlanders oppose becoming part of the United States. On March 28, Greenland also presented a new government coalition agreement, just hours before JD Vance’s visit, to show unity amid Trump's campaign to annex the semi-autonomous Danish territory. #Denmark #JDVance #Greenland #Trump #Protest Join ANI's YouTube membership to get access to perks: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCtFQDgA8J8_iiwc5-KoAQlg/join Subscribe now and press the bell icon 🔔 to get new video updates: https://bit.ly/2UV4ygi -------------------------------------- ANI is South Asia's leading Multimedia News Agency providing content for every information platform, including TV, Internet, broadband, newspapers, and mobiles.
