“We have no…” MEA clears India’s stance on former Bangladesh PM Sheikh Hasina’s stay - On August 05, Sheikh Hasina resigned as Bangladesh PM and fled the nation with her sister & associates. Meanwhile, MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal briefed about the situation and said that the matter is still evolving. Regarding the question of the former PM leaving India, Jaiswal said that MEA doesn’t have any plans regarding it. MEA also addressed the reports of attacks on minority communities in Bangladesh citing that India is monitoring the situation.
