USA: Sindhi Foundation demands withdrawal of Pakistani military, highlights Priya Kumari’s abduction - The Sindhi Foundation, a Washington-based human rights organization, held protest outside the Pakistani Consulate in New York on August 30. The demonstration, held on the International Day of the Enforced Disappearance, highlighted human rights abuses against Sindhis and Balochs. The rally also spotlighted the case of Priya Kumari, a Sindhi Hindu minor girl who was abducted on August 19, 2021, and remains missing. The Sindhi Foundation claimed that her abduction is part of a broader state-sponsored agenda in Pakistan. Sufi Munawar Laghari, Executive Director of Sindhi Foundation, addressed protest rally and demanded that Pakistani military and ISI withdraw from Sindh and Balochistan. The Sindhi Foundation has been running a global campaign for Priya Kumari’s safe return and highlighting human rights abuses against Sindhis. Priya Kumari was abducted on August 19, 2021, and her whereabouts remain unknown. The Sindhi Foundation also announced its next course of action, including a grand exhibition of photos, paintings, posters, and poetry in November in Washington.
